Blogging On 60 Minutes

Thanks to reader Noonan for the CBS blog that is debating the Tiger Woods-Ed Bradley deep tissue massage session on 60 Minutes. The question of whether 60 Minutes should somehow make news or tear down the subject is raised. Of course no one wants that, but it's the fist bumps we can do without.

Hilarious that one defense is that the New York Times does it too. Anyway, the interview was soft, but 60 Minutes profiles on athletes have not always been hard hitting. I thought the interview brought out a couple of good pieces of information. I don't put a lot of stock in 60 Minutes' journalistic integrity or anything though, so I don't care that much. I'd rather see the Tiger Woods interview than a Leslie Stahl communist rant.

at first i thought it would be fun to list the questions that should have been asked...Problem is, no matter how provocative the question, he has a safe answer. It's like he is the Manchurian Candidate, programmed by Fay,Hootie, Driver, Finchem,Earl et al.to give the PC/PR answer. Would love to hear what he really thinks...guess we will need to wait for the Presidential campaign. On second thought, we will never know.
