One Way Around L.A. Traffic

Tod Leonard on Phil Mickelson's late entry into the Nissan Open:
“I'm starting to play well and I want to play more,” Mickelson said. “I'm real excited about the way I'm driving the ball. In the past, I've missed a lot of fairways (at Riviera). But if you can put it in play there, you can really attack the course.”

Mickelson said he would attempt to commute to L.A. each day from his home in Rancho Santa Fe by using his private jet, flying from Palomar Airport to Santa Monica Airport.

Phil skips all the major events (WGC, Tour Championship, Mercedes) then committes (with Finchem's intervention) after the deadline to play Riveria?

How committed can he really when he wants to sleep in his own bed every night? Next he'll be purchasing a yacht named (privacy) "Lazy" and docking it at Marina Del Rey.

nice one Phil, great carbon footprint to leave behind for your kids and grandkids.

You can get some extra shut-eye Philly, if you parachute out the back of the jet while it's on final to Santa Monica...
Avoid that annoying ground traffic, you know???
Well, you SAID you like to take risks in those annoying PGA Tour commercials....

As was said in in another post: "Because he can". Reading bedtime stories and eating breakfast with your kids enrichens the quality of life. Fly away, Phil.
