"She seemed intent on finishing her round"
Nice notice (and photo) by golf.com of Ron Green Jr.'s blog post that adds another dimension to the Michelle Wie WD saga.
When she withdrew Thursday, she was 14-over par with two watery holes to play. Two pars would get her in at 86. In other words, there was little margin for error.
Wie seemed surprised when her manager, Greg Nared, stopped her as she walked to the eighth tee (her 17th) Thursday. She seemed intent on finishing her round, but Nared and Wie’s parents had been talking for a couple of holes and Nared had been on the phone with LPGA officials.

What a travesty, the agent and LPGA Staff manipulating the rules, Michelle Wie left without HER integrity. What are they teaching this young kid, rules don't apply and we'll make up something to get you out of these (rule 88) consequences.
It's her "PSYCHE" they are destroying out of their own greed.
This isn't a criminal trial. It's not life and death. It's a golf tournament, run by a private entity. They enforce the rules as they see fit.
policy.
And, clearly, the LPGA doesn't think enough of
its own policy to let the chips fall where they
may with regards to a player who draws viewers.
