Sheesh, Jimmy Roberts tried to get golf's version of Norman Vincent Peale to offer encouraging words, and even the sunny Gary Player couldn't muster up much with a camera in his face or in a post round chat with the assembled inkslingers.

"It's not over," International captain Gary Player said. "But things don't look too good. The egg is not sunny-side up."
