This Is Your Host For The First Two Rounds Of U.S. Open Play

Thanks to the Deadspin dudes for posting this headed-for-classic status tirade by Chris Berman, your host for the opening rounds of ESPN's U.S. Open coverage.

That is a classic!

I played in a foursome behind him last year at a media event and he was the picture of propriety!

Tell me someone's got video of Judy Rankin doing the same thing.

All I know is that first, you've got to get mad.

You've gotta say, "I'm a human being, goddammit! My life has value!"

So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window, open it, and stick your head out and yell,

"I'm as mad as hell,

and I'm not going to take this anymore!!"

Kidding aside, it has been announced that Mike Tirico is acting as ESPN's coverage host, right? Berman is not officially involved in the ESPN Masters telecast. Right? Lord have mercy, tell me I'm right.

And, uh, no; no one is likely to unearth anything like that from Judy Rankin. I know that if Judy Rankin were trying to talk, I'd just stand still and listen. For my own benefit. And I've never worked in television.

Funny...old stuff though...Berman hasn't had that much hair in years and the graphic in the background says 2000.
