Tiger's New EA Ad Spoofs Jesus Or EA Code Writers?

Seems Tiger's new EA Sports ad is not so much a tribute to Jesus, but instead as Richard Simon at The Golf Watch notes for those of us who do not play video games, it's an homage to a flaw in a previous version of the game. Though I'm with reader NRH on this one, what's with grounding the club in a hazard?

The footage should be entitled, "How I Play Golf by Tiger Woods," and marketed as an instructional video along with the book of the same title. Seriously, this video reminds me of Tiger's victory at this year's U.S. Open: Tiger unintentionally drives his ball out of the intended field of play, receives an unbelievably lucky and undeserved break in the form of a good lie, and proceeds to hit a remarkable recovery shot from a point where no one should have been in the first place.

Recycled idea.

The irascible Cliff Roberts did the same thing, albeit about 50 years ago. Anyone remember?

Very funny, very very funny.

4p are you suggesting that my favorite golf joke -- the one where Moses suggests Jesus thinks he's Snead for using a 6 iron at ANGC 16 (which I tell updated as Tiger and a 9 iron) is based on some old stunt Roberts pulled ala this video?
