Q: Do you think you will have time to play Tiger' course in Dubai next year?

A: Looking back at my season I have to say that the put I made in New Jersey speaks for itself

The only thing about his comments that is a surprise is if anyone find it surprising that a top player will want an opportunity to play for the big bucks in Dubai starting next year. You can be sure that Vijay will not be alone in tilting his schedule towards the European Tour next year. Finchem must surely understand that he has created an incentive for players to compete on both tours, since the FedEx Fiasco has made the regular PGA Tour season all but meaningless.

4 majors + 3 WGC's + 8 PGA Tour events + 4 European Tour events = Eligibility on both tours and the opportunity to cash in both in the FedEx Cup and the Race to Dubai. World Tour, anyone?

I believe the Euro tour is moving to a minimum of 13 events next year, so it will not be as "easy" to get minimum requirements on both tours.
So that being said, I do see Els, Goosen, VJ, etcetc playing more on the Euro tour then the pgatour next year.
Hell, I believe even Mickelson said he was 'interested' in this Race to Dubai thingy.

TELECONFERENCE

Press Person: Vijay, if you make it to Dubai and stay in that 7-star hotel, can you bring me back a pillow mint or a book of matches?

Vijay: Ah, sorry, can you hold? I've got a call on the other line.

Huh, I did not know that, but it makes sense. 11 was always a bit low, and it was established only for Ryder Cup qualification reasons. But still, that means just six regular Euro events for eligibility. You name Phil, but I'm also willing to bet that Tiger joins the Eurpoean Tour before the end of the decade. Any takers?

I agree Hawk.....why bother with the US dollar when one can fill their pockets twice as nice with Euros.
Same thing is happening with the NBA.

Do you think all this play in Europe is and excuse to escape the sight of that hideous clubhouse at the TPC?
