Tiger Won The Australian Masters With New Grooves

Not to make the other Australian Masters contestants feel bad, but you lost to Tiger Woods playing with inferior equipment.

Steve Elling confirms, saying that Tiger's wedges featured next year's conforming grooves. That makes two Nike wins over the weekend with less spin-grooves. The other Nike winner--Michelle Wie--hasn't made the move yet.

Take a look at Stephen Ames' equipment at Disney. His birdie string down the stretch was done with the 2010 grooves.

Thanks court, I posted that the other day and Elling noted that in the piece. And the post above notes that as well.

Last week and weekend were really great for Nike Golf. Tiger, Ames and Wie all winning official events. Justin Leonard was in the PGA Tour playoff and Anthony Kim won the Kiwi Challenge event as well. Wonder if Leonard and/or AKs Nike wedges/irons were 2010 conforming?

I wonder if Tiger had the 2010 grooves in his driver during the tournament in Australia? . . . He seemed to be "spinning" the golf ball more than I remember him doing. . .
