Eric Apperly should get at least as much credit for the design as Alister MacKenzie.
And the revetted bunkers look out of place to me, but I'm not all that familiar with the original bunkering.
Thanks for this. The critique was superb. If you ever get down that way, you must get to this golf course, you would absolutely love it.
Don't forget the next one on the list too....Newcastle Golf Club, it's a gem of a course. Actually, there are a bunch of gems along the NSW coastline, maybe not with the same reputations but they, as Mr Morrissett said, 'bring back the sense of adventure in the game.'
