"Bivens cost the tour $824,345 in salary, bonuses and benefits in 2008, up from $522,000 in 2007."

Jon Show scoured the LPGA's IRS filings and reports that their recent staff purge knocked $1 million in salary off the books, but far more amazing was this revelation about the Brand Lady:

Bivens cost the tour $824,345 in salary, bonuses and benefits in 2008, up from $522,000 in 2007. She cost the LPGA $710,812 in compensation and benefits in 2006, which was her only other full year in the job.

guy-you missed it completely. Bivens got way more than $1 million for NOT working the last year(s) pf her contract, to say nothing of the tens of millions of value she destroyed for players.

At least they stopped her short of what Isiah Thomas did to the CBA...but she was headed down that road FAST!!

What a bunch of idiots on the Board, including the PLAYERS on the Board, who gave Bivens a BONUS. They deserve what every they get! Unbelievable!

I coulda done a lot less damage for a lot less cash.

Congrats to my friend Nicole Jeray for finishing T-5 in LPGA Q School today. Let's hope she can afford to jet around to play in enough tournaments. . .

You are incorrect salary payment was for 2008 when the LPGA had a profit of $4.0 plus record payment to Tournaments. Plus 2007 profit was also a record year profitwise. Pls re-read the 990'0s
