How Nasty Is The Wind? No. 12 Closing In On 4.0!

The Amen Corner Live coverage is stellar again, especially with the video working so well this year. They just reported that there have been 10 pars, 12 bogies and 7 others, for a scoring average of 3.93 so far. And half the field has not even been through yet.

The wind has died down now...still not easy, but definitely more playable for the afternoon guys.

I'm an Amen Corner addict (was last year as well). It's the best online augmentation to a sports event I've ever seen.

I cant get over how many stand on the tee at 12 , and only know one shot , the high ball that balloons in the wind , and drops short .

I have played a replica of this hole (wooden sticks) and was impressed. But, really a 144 yard hole destroying the calm of the worlds best golfers? How cool is that? So much for the 260 par 3's the USGA tells us are necessary to "identify" the best golfers in the world. Perhaps they need to re-examine a few things....
