Feherty Returns To Work At Valero Open

Several people have emailed to ask and since I haven't seen it reported anywhere, CBS's Robin Brendle has confirmed that David Feherty is working this week's Valero Open.

All I know is that it's a good thing he didn't go after the leader of the GOP, the famous celebrity golfer Rush Limbaugh. Otherwise it would be off to a re-education camp for young David.
I agree and think he generally does a fine job. I was sorry to hear him pandering to the Tour's reactionary wing--that is, approximately 95% of the Tour--in his recent comments, however.

It would seem to me that blasting Limbaugh and hoping he dies will get you the headliner spot at the Washington Correspondents Dinner.

pasaplayer, do yourself a favor and read the entire article. You might be surprised by the rest of Feherty's comments.

What thusgone said. Feherty is unparalleled as an on course reporter in my view.
Actually, what Taylor said as well, but I'm not wading into that quagmire. :)

Why hasn't Feherty apologized to Osama bin Laden for lumping him with thugs like Pelosi and Reid?

Good one Rick! You make me proud to be an American.

Feherty passed through Austin on his bicycle day before yesterday sporting a helmet donned with twin rear view mirrors and what appeared to be a gun turret on top. He was also wearing one of those horse ahhh stuff catchers behind him which appeared to be full and with red, white a& blue TP trailing after him like a kite tail. He was not slowing down for anything. Drafting behind everything from semi trailer trucks and VWs. I followed him all the way to Buda (that's pronounced Beauta here in Central Texas) till he changed lanes and got behind a Lamborghini. He was out of sight in seconds.

Feherty corrects Clampett's misuse of "irony" during the telecast -- wins back my lifelong support!
