Redesigning No. 17

You gotta love the Photoshop work by the Golfweek gang who took on No. 17 at TPC Sawgrass. I loved them all, but this is a favorite:

17 is a wart on an otherwise good golf course. I'm sick of looking at it. Discuss.

Not a fan of the 17th hole. There are so many good holes at Sawgrass, with those unorthodox green angles and visual trickery --holes that really make you think. Then you come to a contrived Disney Land hole that everyone hypes way too much. The hype associated with this hole is insufferable.

Is that a new gigantic pier of railroad ties, or is it a new 750-room luxury hotel supporting the hypothetical new 17th green?

Trump-TPC. With a below-water-level casino.
