Pretty much yes. Disappointingly, Bloomberg's A. Craig Copetas profiles Vidauban, the "world's coolest golf course" that "doesn’t have a name" but is called Vidauban throughout the piece. This supposed mystery course is supposedly impossible to get on and even harder to find, but it seems pretty easy to locate after a quick Google search. Thanks to all of the readers who sent this and I would agree with a couple of you who wondered what the real story is here.

How about the guy who invests in dilapidated courses, spruces them up and sells 50 more memberships for a cool million per?

The whole story is bizarre - like the Euros Don Draper hung out with in the desert.

It is easy to find it with Google Earth, just type in Prince du Provence, france, and away you go. The whole Bloomberg piece is to scare up some business for the course because it is probably hurting a lot.

Seems to me this story is a great satire based on fact. The author is known as a satirist and has written many golf stories. Check out his book Mona LIsa's Pajamas. There's a section of golf that's hilarious.
