Augusta's New Practice Area...Let The Hype Begin!

Geoff Ogilvy Tweeted/raved about it today, Sam Weinman reports. Even better, we finally get to see one of Rob Brown's club-sanctioned images.  Well, we did for a little while.

I'm not sure there will be tons of "hype" about it, but it is a very good practice area. I guess you are suggesting nobody should talk about it? Everything should just be ignored and everyone should just keep silent on everything - otherwise it'll be considered hype. Nobody talk about anything except when Tiger is going to return and if he'll have the same caddy!

I imagine you would consider it more "hype" worthy if one of the designers you seem to have a crush on had done it.

The practice tee highlight of every Masters has historically been the bombers trying to hit the ball over the fence - while the patrons and green jacket guys cheered (with dignity of course). . . But - neither Alvaro nor Bubba will be playing in the tournament! . . . The only chance for excitement might be if Arnie and Jack - before they do their honorary starter gig on Thursday - go to the range and bomb a few - from the members/senior tees.

Hopefully Jack will want to play a few holes...we all know Arnie wants to.

God - I am getting excited...I only wish I'll be able to see the "tuuuna-ment" in person one day, maybe take some pictures or shoot it in 3d.

Oh - and what happened to the picture? I didn't even get a chance to see it larger than the thumbnail.

I'm surprised Ogilvy would like it that much since he plays at Whisper Rock which has a world class practice area.
