I am a little surprised that with the 3D announcement that there weren't some venues announced for viewing the final round. For example, the World Golf Hall of Fame has a theater complex, including an IMAX. I'm sure that technically this isn't possible to do yet, but that would be pretty cool assuming 3D is as interesting for golf as we've been told.
I remember maybe 40 years ago when Indianapolis broadcasts were shown at Memorial Coliseum (Portland), which had 10,000+ seats
It would be interesting to really "do-up" a venue though(World Golf HOF, for example...) - have putting contests, maybe a fake bunker or two for some short-game splashes...perhaps a very decent immersive "vitual golf" experience showcasing Augusta(which doesn't exist for any video game golf except for Links 2003, and it's excellent, lol)
I see plenty of possibilities - but my imagination in this area(3d sports broadcasting) knows no bounds...now back to my regularily-scheduled menial labor, lol.
Cheers all,
LK
