"'Inside Edition' and 'Extra' requested credentials but were denied because the application deadline passed."

Ron Green Jr. and Rick Rothacker noted this about Quail Hollow's media credentialing next week:

Hougham said the tournament typically arranges to limit access to the air space above Quail Hollow. The most noticeable change related to Woods' appearance is an expanded media compound near the 16th tee. Tournament officials expect an increase in national outlets covering the tournament, though nontraditional golf outlets have not been credentialed.

Lee Patterson, director of communications for the tournament, said "Inside Edition" and "Extra" requested credentials but were denied because the application deadline passed.

Interesting that some traditional golf outlets were offered the chance to file post deadline but not those shows? How do they know they weren't coming to do a story on Together, Anything's Possible II?

Seriously though, you do have to wonder if there is going to be a quid pro quo deal with Tiger and tournaments. Let the Extra's of the world in and I won't play. Restrict access and I'll consider your event.
