Chambers Bay Ace Caught On Tape
Thanks to Pete Finch for Tweeting this hole-in-one caught on tape. I particularly like how the ball misses the stakes keeping golfers from damaging turf and then slingshots right for the hole. Nice camera work too.

With respect to #15 at Chambers, two of the three times I have played it, the ball funneled towards the pin. Same thing with playing partners. I would imaging the ace count on that hole is higher that normal.
After playing the course last year, I'm still wondering where they're going to put all the grandstands....especially holes 15-18 are right up against the rail road tracks, and the sound shortly thereafter. There's no room!
I think grandstands are going to be along the south side of 18 and east of 18 green. The direct line on the tee shot on 18 could be over the ruins for some players. They'd be hard pressed to get grandstands on the mounds east of 16 and 17
An enterprising company could put a cruise ship in the Sound (assuming it fits under the Tacoma Narrows bridge) and provide rooms to fans and players. It probably would be a better time and value than trying to find a nice hotel nearby or renting a house in the area.
What do you figure? Somewhere between 4:45 and 6:00?
