I love the placement of Rees Jones bunkers.... I look at them the same way I do alien crop circles--sheer utter amazement.. How did they get there? Why were they put there? What are they trying to convey? If I tell anybody that I saw them, will they believe me?

I always thought crop circles were made by ravers and hippies tripping their brains out on psilocybin.

That shaved area at 16 suggests it will probably be made reachable in two. Fun!

Great stuff, Geoff. Thanks, as always, for all the effort.
Tom N, that was hilarious!

"Wowsers"

Must be a California saying or else Johnny Miller has rubbed off on Geoff.

I heard more than one grumble from caddies on the 18 tee. Even downhill, it was a long carry into the wind.

As an aside, as much grief as Na gets here for pace of play, he was extraordinarily nice and took the time to talk to my daughter and son. Petrovic and Kaymer were great too.

Did the USGA read this blog? Actually mowing grass around sand traps so that balls will roll into them rather than stop short? Tommy's thesis is closer than he thinks: USGA has actually been taken over by aliens!

Jordan, They've been in control of the USGA for years. You don't believe me!?!?!

A monument to themselves, that can be seen only from directly above, in the skies over the cliffs of San Diego.
