The Much Vaunted World Record For A Golf Ball Landing In Speeding Car While Cameras Look On, Has Been Broken

Or is it paid for and then established?

Anyway, if you have five minutes of your life to give away for a clever Mercedes Benz ad, check out Formula 1's David Coulthard and pro-golfer Jake Shepherd trying to hit and land a golf ball in a AMG Roadster travelling at 178 mph. Thanks to reader Greg for this.

I've been trying this for years at Langdon Farms on the holes right next to I-5.

Amen Coroner,

When someone is a "Callaway Guy" that normally means contracted to play just Callaway irons only. Players rarely if ever sign a driver deal (or wedges, fairway woods or putters for that matter) because they want the flexibility to be able to try the latest and greatest. All those clubs are the money clubs so players will never lock themselves into a contract for them. Lets face it, putting down the top of the line tour iron from every brand (even PING now) all look the same.

JT,

Its not unusual true but it doesnt make good business sense to me to have a guy wearing your logo, carrying your logo, and then letting him put the main competitors club (not a putter cause thats the ONLY money club in golf) in your staff bag.

Why do the Europeans seem to have a lot more fun with golf than the PGA Tour guys do. This the most recent of a number of stunts the Euro's have dreamed up

John,

For the most part our US pros are bores and they stick their hands out when asked to do just about anything. Some like Paul Goydos and Rocco Mediate seem to be able to have fun at their own expense but the younger set are so self important and caught up in the themselves and all the circus that swirls around their existence that I wanna puke on one!

A buddy of mine placed a drive in the back of a moving pickup truck from #14 at Lions onto Lake Austin Blvd....the driver circled around and we somehow were playing #12 again when he came back by.
