With the unfortunate turn of events, Romero matches a PGA Tour record for the lowest score (61) recorded by a player who ultimately missed the cut. His 20-shot swing in between two rounds is the largest on Tour since Kevin Stadler shot 81-61 to miss the cut at the 2008 Frys.com Open.
