Jockey Escapes Injury After Golf Ball Flies Into Sandown Race

As much as I love the merging of racetracks and golf courses, the possibility of a rogue golf ball injuring a horse and jockey has always been a concern.

They supposedly scan the course at Musselburgh for balls before race days commence, and all golf courses within tracks all shut down when racing takes place. But it appears a ball on the track was kicked up at Sandown Park in England, sending Luxford into a frenzy and throwing jockey Kieren Fox.
