What Is Tiger Up To, Files: The Stinger And Now A Podcast?!

Ok a few swing videos and Mr. Stubborn is even forgetting all of the pleas to just hit the darned stinger and even putting that back in the repertoire. Someone is feeling it! Hashtagging Star Wars? Next thing you know he'll be rolling out emojis, GIFs and doing podcasts. (Paul Doyle with the details of Tiger's interview in the can with UConn coach Geno Auriemma.)

And the responses were just as fun:

HE’S BACK!!!
Looks great, but a 270-yard stinger is sooooo 2000. 2017 is about hitting it 320 on the fly over water on cape holes, etc.

Only a few day on but that did look better than the driver swing they showed.

Behold the therapeutic effect of an Oompa Loompa bearing WAG credentials at the Presidents Cup. What I want know is whether his buddy, Chairman Fred, will Tigerize the golf course? Change the fairway mowing direction to assure maximum roll-out on the stinger, level the downhill lay-up position on #15, cut down all those damn trees, fill in Rae's Creek at #12, etc. The suspense is killing me!

Quite a coincidence that this is posted the same day as the plead deal for the DUI.

I'll watch some when he returns...my guess is he shoots is a middling mid 70s round. His biggest strength was mental and short game...and both of those are long gone, or seem to be.

Best of luck to TW....if I were an oddsmaker, I'd say it's a bout 25-1 for him to win another full field PGA event.

Stinger back indeed. We're constantly being stung with these reports.

Manku stirs the odds pot.

Cool. I have no feelings about the man as I've never met him. His body has been beaten and torn but he's working it back into shape so who knows. Anybody who has played this silly game knows that so much is attributed to a person's mental state. Who knows where Woods is or will be?

Steiny working hard on the PR campaign and 'comeback' strategy.

Except the plea deal has been moved to Friday, so that theory bites the dust.

@Matts - the post of his shot was actually from yesterday (Monday 10/23) and his plea was to have been tomorrow (10/25). The plea was delayed until this Friday. Other than that great post.

@OWGR - Thanks for the timing clarification. I came on Geoff's site, because how else would you want to start your day, and saw the Tiger post. Then went to some news sites and saw the DUI.

I'll watch when he's actually teeing off in a tournament. Until then it's just more of Tiger being Tiger... trying to keep us somewhat interested and the endorsement $'s coming. It seems that his time spent chasing Pancake House waitresses and the secret house calls by Dr Galea have caught up with him. Karma sucks as they say.
10.24.2017 | Unregistered CommenterJupiter
this sudden flurry of swing videos suggests somebody is hankering for a comeback. Either that or he's planning an instructional career or becoming a golf shorts model (with those legs, it'll be a short gig). He's feeling better and bored.

Jupiter, supposedly $37M in endorsements for 2017.

The massive settlement with Elin must still sting some. Those waitresses (and others) proved to be very expensive.
