Video: Rory McIlroy Narrates Traden Karch Story

Get ready for a seriously throat lump learning about the inspirational comeback of Traden Karch, an aspiring young golfer who's got some Rory in his swing and face. He has overcome a horrific accident with the help of doctors, family, friends, and Rory McIlroy, who narrates this Golf Channel piece.

If you saw this on Wednesday's Live From the PGA at Quail Hollow or maybe caught a glimpse from afar without audio, make sure to check out this fine piece of work by producer Adrienne Gallagher.

With or without Rory, this is a triumphant piece. Go get it, kid, you are a winner.

An absolutely wonderful, life-affirming piece. Way to go, Traden - and Rory.

Thank you for posting this. I caught it Wednesday night, and I was impressed by the understated style of the presentation as I was moved by the story. Despite today's iffy showing, I hope Rory will putt like Traden -- all feel, and expect everything to go in.

I am by far a Christian man, but I wish that family all the very best velocity. And that boy's got a swing.

Great, wow even, good to see. This reminds me of the current work by William Lumsden under "Learn from the Legacy" soon to be called The Tommy Morris Foundation supported by Kevin Cook, and the Producers of the film Tommy's Honour although they are not part of the foundation.

William has started a new education experience designed to encourage and develop junior golf in East Lothian, which is hoped to also attract fathers mothers to join their children.

The children are the future of the game and so its important to promote any charity that works to this end. Stories like this and Traden will do the game no harm, in fact much good.

Folks please also check out The Golf Fanatic (aka Dave Finn) mainly on Facebook.

Dave has featured on a number of Golf Channel documentaries. He has a rare neuromuscular disorder known as Leigh's Disease that mirrors the symptoms of muscular dystrophy.

Great guy but also the son of great parents John & Vanessa Finn.

Feature like this reveals the true soul & essence of our great game. Kudos to Rory for doing this.
