The intention was to take bunkers that looked tired and excessive in scale and convert them into older looking hazards you'd expect to find on a 1925 <strong>George Thomas</strong> and <strong>Billy Bell </strong>design (which <strong>La Cumbre</strong> is).</p>
<p>The process included lower faces and digging up bunkers so that they cut up into greensites instead of resting above them. New sand and drainage were also part of the project, as were efforts to enable easier access into the bunkers.
