/Well the sun is out and there's a breeze, so the Wyndham has a chance of looking more like a major. I will start viewing at around 1:30 PDT, which means after fast-forwarding through commercials, plugs and other assorted promotional piling on, I should be caught up with all of the golf shots by 2.

/John Hawkins feels the verdict is still out on Whistling Straits as a major venue. Not that it matters with the ink long dried on the contract for the 2015 PGA and the 2020 Ryder Cup.

Based on what I saw today--the swing that makes me stop what I'm doing--Elk has shed the Stack and Tilt and gone back to his old move. It's just such a joy to watch.

After 15 rounds of the Majors Aggregate Championship. Woods is on 1062, 15 under par with Mickelson on 14 under and Matt Kuchar third on 5 under. Others who have made 4 cuts in this year’s majors are current PGA Championship leader Nick Watney and Retief Goosen, Dustin Johnson, Robert Karsson, Ian Poulter, Steve Stricker, Charl Shwartzel and Camilo Villegas. That's a total of 11 golfer who will complete on Sunday.
2010 PGA Third Round Open Thread
/Looks like the weather is cooperating to the delight of many who don't want to spend another day in Wisconsin. The PGA is going with threesomes off split tees to try and finish today.
"So we came to the conclusion that I think the best way to approach a week is to give yourself a chance Sunday, and if fate is on your side, you find yourself in the winner's circle."
/I was fascinated by Matt Kuchar's post second round comments on winning and luck. Might be worth keeping in mind as the weekend unfolds.

/Stephanie Wei notes that yesterday's John Daly WD was his 18th since 2005 and his second straight at the PGA. Golf Channel said something about 32 career WD's, but I haven't found a story on that. Either way, those are records that will never be broken!

/...Monty trailed the last two club pros by four and for that matter, all of the club pros. I think we can rule out a playing-Captain scenario.
