No, Tiger Is Not Acting!

I've received a few emails recently suggesting that press reports of Tiger's injuries have been inflated because no photos have surfaced of him in his medical supports. Radaronline has your proof.
When you come to think of it that is the secret of most of the great holes all over the world. They all have some kind of a twist. C.B. MACDONALD

With apologies to my Twitter followers for the blast of Tweets, but here's an index page of some videos I posted on TwitVideo of the Congressional back nine. If you don't want the full tour, the real highlight is #16. Wowsers! It could get ugly out there come Sunday.
That's the question I ask in a Golf World Monday item (link works for non-subscribers too). Long rumored and maybe the worst kept secret in golf, it seems about time for the USGA and Shinnecock to put the finishing touches on the 4000 page contract and make an announcement. Or maybe the lawyers just need to edit that clause titled "No Mowing, Rolling Or Any Other Perceived Attempt To Speed Up Greens Between The Hours Of 10 p.m And 4 a.m."
You gotta love Harrison Frazar and his honesty. From Teresa Walker's AP report on his first win, just two events short of his medical exemption running out:
"It was a whirlwind there. This was the first time," Frazar said. "I don't know if I'm supposed to keep the seersucker jacket. I don't know if I'm supposed to carry the trophy. You don't know who you're supposed to talk to. I felt bad. I didn't thank the sponsors. I didn't thank FedEx. I didn't thank the volunteers. I was not quite sure really what was happening right then.
"The only tournament that I won in Q-school, you walked in, signed your card in the scoring trailer, and they gave you a pat on the back, 'Good job.' You walked out the door. There was nobody there."
This has become an annual tradition of sorts, checking in with the Ancient Twitterer, inevitable World Golf Hall Of Famer and still the only golf writer to have his own bobblehead. You can read the past Q&A's here, here and here and during next week's U.S. Open, you can follow him on Twitter here. As a friend of mine said yesterday when discussing the marvels of Twitter: "It's like having Dan Jenkins in my living room watching the Open with me."Robert Karlson is peaking at the right time for the U.S. Open, leading in Memphis.
Yani Tseng (who else) is leading the LPGA event in Springfield.
And Bob Tway is trying to win on the Champions Tour for the first time.
Oh and the U.S. Open week fun starts Monday. I'll be reporting to you live from there with some first impressions of the course Monday afternoon and evening.
I finally got around to Steve Elling's story on former high school teammates Christo Greyling and Ty Tryon qualifying for the U.S. Open Monday and it is well worth your time. Warning though, it's emotional and upsetting at times (Greyling's father committed suicide), and downright bizarre whe reading about the effects the acne drug Accutane had on their golf games.Bob Harig quotes Tiger ten-percenter business partner Mark Steinberg as saying that Steve Williams' appearance on Adam Scott's bag at the U.S. Open is only temporary.

Tiger chronicler Bob Smiley takes a serious look at what ultimately may have created some of Tiger's personal and physical issues in light of Congressman Anthony Weiner's similar downfall (and blue curtain backdrop, nice juxtaposition by ESPN editorial).
Kevin Van Valkenburg previews the Belmont Stakes and the chances of my (almost) namesake horse. He also answers questions about the race dynamics and why Woody would pick Shackleford.Geoff Shackelford is a Senior Writer for Golfweek magazine, a weekly contributor to Golf Channel's Morning
