A major victory isn't enough for Jon Rahm to overcome Tour politics as Scottie Scheffler wins player of the year without capturing a major.

But at least Rahm was in Maui just in case players voted for the Masters champion. My take on what looks appears to be another poorly-timed snub, assuming the PGA Tour is sincere in trying to bring peace to the pro game.
