Sectional Scores Trickling In Slightly Faster Than Indiana Primary Results

I threw in the towel on USOpen.com's results page at 10:30 EST and will rely on Golfweek, which has results that the USGA's official site does not have. Must be IBM's fault.

Meanwhile AP's Rusty Miler, sums up the early results and including this note about the European qualifier.

In England, Robert Dinwiddie birdied six of his last eight holes, including an 8-footer on the 18th at Walton Heath, to earn one of seven spots. The medalists were Alastair Forsyth and Ross Fisher.

Nearly 20 players withdrew, so the USGA awarded seven spots to European Tour players instead of 10.

After the Miller story, Golfweek has posted links for each qualifier's results.

The USGA's lack of updates on the sectionals is pathetic. Why even have a button on the site that links to sectional results? I have a friend playing in Columbus #2 and there is zero info. anywhere while it has been dark for almost three hours. Golfweek, world, observer, channel, usga, columbus dispatch: nothing. Golfweek has Daly City and Creswell, OR but nothing from Columbus #2. This is 2008 - it would take paying a local reporter $50 from each site to post the results to the website, assuming they can't just forward it from the computer in the scoring tent. Even if play was suspended for playoff spots that doesn't mean they can't tell us where everybody stands. Is this Russia?

WHAT A BUNCH OF OVERPAID BABIES....

Most of the PGA Tour players were at the Columbus sectional, having been in town for the Memorial. Love and Couples each played four days at Muirfield Village, then had to get up before the break of dawn.

“It’s a long week,” Love said. “That was a long, hard golf course to play and then to do anything on Monday, much less play 36 holes ... I know the guys that played four rounds over there were battle-tested, but they were also tired.”

Couples, who had said this might be the last time he tries to qualify, opened with a 69 at Brookside, but a 72 on the Scarlet kept him out of the playoff by two shots. He didn’t sign his scorecard and was disqualified.

I see only 3 guys broke par in Denver (2 spots awarded)...

...can't believe Duval didn't at least give it a shot.

Agreed. The USGA is pathetic.

When it's 11:00 at night and the results aren't posted, you're second-rate.

Where the heck are the sectionals for the U.S. Women's Open going to be?????
It sure would help in following a player if the USGA would let one know.
Guess I'll just have to wait for those results to be posted.A day later perhaps........
