There's an interesting looking new film with a few teasers online worth checking out.

After establishing the origin and subsequent history of Caddies of Scotland, the film then takes a spirited romp through the Highlands and Lowlands stopping at many golfing meccas to hear the wit, reverence and irreverence of Scottish Caddies.

A group of my members from Chicago played in Scotland one Fall. One fellow started his round just horribly (I had written a letter verifying his handicap as 15 - which was true) hitting every iron shot in the hosel. . . He was wearing a Western Golf Association cap, a gift for donating to its caddy scholarship fund - which read "Par Club." After 3 holes of struggle - his middle aged Scottish caddy inquired, "So, tell me laddie, did you steal that cap?"

Another player in Scotland had played a few holes when he reached his ball and assessed the situation. He asked his caddie if he could get there with his 5 iron to which the caddie replied in his best voice - EVENTUALLY!
