Romo Qualifies For U.S. Open Sectional; Must Have Been The Team Activities

Fresh off a vital photo opp leadership building opportunity, Tony Romo pulled off a pretty impressive feat with a 69 and four-for-three-spots playoff.  Twelve back nine putts is really amazing.

It was the first time in three attempts that Romo advanced to sectional qualifying for the U.S. Open.

Romo will enter a 36-hole section qualifier June 7 at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas. At least one player from each of 13 sectional qualifiers will advance to the U.S. Open that will be played June 17-20 at Pebble Beach (Calif.) Golf Links.

Romo had a tee time May 17 for a Monday qualifier for this week’s HP Byron Nelson Championship, but instead participated in the first day of the Cowboys’ organized team activities.

And the world is a better place for it.
