"And now you can maybe, yeah, give me some questions that are a little bit more interesting, a little bit different than what I usually get.”

Wouldn't you love to see Tiger or Phil pull a Caroline Wozniacki just once?

Christopher Clarey explains how the women's world No. 1 in tennis decide to answer all of the boring questions by posing them herself! Deadspin has the video.

“I find it quite, you know, funny, because I always get the same questions,” she continued. “I know what you’re going to ask me already, so I’m just going to start with the answer.”

And so Wozniacki did: delivering a monologue unlike any No. 1 before her, giving the answers to the routine questions without anyone’s asking her the questions.

Wozniacki explained what she “needs to do to win this tournament.” She addressed her fourth-round match vaguely, which is the only way you can do it when you do not yet know whom you will be playing. With chuckles spreading through the room, she did not neglect the obligatory: “Do you deserve to be No. 1?” and “How is the racket?”

“Hopefully,” she concluded, “this was a little bit different than usual, and now you can maybe, yeah, give me some questions that are a little bit more interesting, a little bit different than what I usually get.”
