"It’s serious enough that it scared me pretty well."

As someone who recently had something removed that was less serious than Rory Sabbatini's skin cancer, I think it's great to see him using the situation to spread the gospel and considering a foundation to help the less fortunate.

Oh, and he also has a five shot lead going into Sunday's Honda finale, reports Larry Dorman:

Although he had always slathered generous amounts of sun block on his skin before playing golf or spending any time outside, Sabbatini still developed the skin cancer. He was approached by representatives of the sun-block company he is now representing on tour. And he is wearing a wide-brimmed hat to keep the sun off his ears and the side of his face.

“I’ve got to be very cautious out there,” said Sabbatini, whose father-in-law also had skin cancer removed recently. “And we’re looking at maybe setting up a foundation that helps people that are underprivileged and come across skin cancer, so it’s something that we are looking at.”
