When one comes to the quality of the bunkers and other hazards we pass into realm of much dispute and argument. Primarily bunkers should be sand bunkers purely, not composed of gravel, stones or dirt. Whether this or that bunker is well placed, has caused more intensely heated arguments outside of the realms of religion, than has ever been my lot to listen to. C.B. MACDONALD

Friday News Dump: Bellerive Lands '13 Senior PGA Championship Presented By Kitchen Aid, '18 PGA

I'm not sure exactly why the PGA of America would choose a Friday in spring to announce a PGA seven years out at a venue with about as little appeal as you can possibly have...but they did.

In May 2013, Bellerive Country Club will host its first Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, the most historic and prestigious event in senior golf. Bellerive will become the third venue to host all four of the country's rotating major championships - the Senior PGA Championship, PGA Championship, U.S. Open and the U.S. Senior Open. Then in August of 2018, Bellerive will host the Centennial PGA Championship.
