Olympic Course Jury Revealed, Sort Of

In his annual chat with John Huggan, Peter Dawson reveals the number of votes making up the Rio Olympic course design jury, which until now, had only been revealed as jury by yours truly.

“The site is in place,” he says. “We have a shortlist of eight architects. A jury of four people will make the final decision on who gets the job. There will be a representative of Rio 2016, another from the city of Rio and two from the IGF.

I'm a bit surprised (but glad) the list is only at four. Dawson is certainly one of the two IGF votes, and in spite his proclivity to jack around with great golf courses, he brings (at least) one architecture snob to the table. And that's probably not good news for the celebrity design teams.

Now, who is the other IGF vote? Commissioner Jobs? Ty?
