Golf Channel Covering Captaincy Announcement

Granted, you might miss Al Roker interviewing the third runner-up from The Voice or, in celebration of Today correspondent Jenna Bush's pregnancy, a segment on how you too can have a child in your late 20s.

But I'm pretty sure I'll be tuned to Golf Channel for the Ryder Cup captaincy announcement, especially since Today is on tape delay.

For Immediate Release:

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 12, 2012 – Golf Channel will deliver all of the news surrounding PGA of America’s announcement of the 2014 U.S. Ryder Cup Captain selection Thursday morning with two Golf Central special presentations: an hour-long special at 8 a.m. ET and a second, 90-minute special at 10 a.m. ET.

Hosted by Kelly Tilghman, Frank Nobilo and Tim Rosaforte in Orlando and Steve Sands reporting from New York City, Thursday’s Golf Central special at 8 a.m. ET will cover the live announcement from New York City, when PGA of America President Ted Bishop will officially introduce the 2014 U.S. Ryder Cup Captain.

At 10 a.m. ET, Golf Channel will deliver a second Golf Central special, airing the U.S. Ryder Cup Captain’s news conference live from the Empire State Building at 10:30 a.m. ET.
