Olympic Architect Choice Postponed Until March

As I tweeted earlier today, it appears the panel of four is deadlocked with a longshot in the mix. The committee decision must be unanimous.

AP is reporting the committee was "extremely pleased with the high quality of the eight proposals" by the finalists, but will wait until an IOC visit in March.

Okay, so it is between Thomson and Nicklaus then...

Why not Gary Player?

The committee decision must be unanimous? Brilliant administrative thinking there. Expect a decision on an architect about 90 days before the opening ceremony.

Where does it say it has to be unanimous?

Seems there must be serious disagreement. If they wanted miniimalism either Doak, Hawtree or Hanse would work. If they want an American style course, Nicklaus, Jones, Player or Norman would work.

The problem seems to be with the committee and the style of golf course?
Sounds like golf not until 2020. Maybe host city will be selected based upon golf course?

The unanimous requirement maximizes the opportunity for bribery. The IOC is the most corrupt organization in sports in cluding the WWE.

Brad Ford:

If that's correct then RTJ2 will be your winner.
WWE is fake, not corrupt.

The IOC is the second most corrupt sporting organisation in the World. FIFA wins that title hands down.

Ed: I was thinking about the WWE "referees."

IOC corrupt? You bet! The IOC supports as fact that wrestling is real, and the walk on the moon was a fake! Who will ever forget the '72 Gold Medal basketball game? - the IOC couldn't get that right either!

WWE is entertainment. What is golf?

The WWE resembles the current GOP Primary......it too appears to be "fake"..........
