PGA CEO Steranka Stepping Down At End Of '12

"I started at the PGA when I attended the 1988 Masters," Steranka said. "This was my 25th one, so I think the timing is appropriate."

Steranka started at the PGA of America in 1988 as director of communications and became CEO in November 2005.

"Let's not make a big deal about this," he said. "I'm still here for a while with work to do. We've grown the game at the grass-roots level over the years. I'm happy that a transition plan will be in place."
