ANGC Member Buffett: "if I were running the club I’d have plenty of women"

Bloomberg's Betty Liu and Beth Jinks continue to do their best to make sure Michael Bloomberg will never get into Augusta National by asking club member Warren Buffett if he thinks the club should have female members.

“I’m not telling the group at Augusta what to do, but if I were running the club I’d have plenty of women,” Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK/A) (A), said yesterday in an interview with Betty Liu on Bloomberg Television’s “In the Loop” following his company’s annual meeting in Omaha, Nebraska.

“I might prefer having female members, but I’m not on the committee” that nominates people to the group, he said.

Buffett was speaking at the annual Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting.
