Look Out Foley: Nike Patents Wearable Instruction Shirt!

Bloomberg's Matt Townsend with word of a Nike golf patent that takes form fitting to a new level.

The patent asks for protection of “articles of apparel providing enhanced body position feedback.”

“A coach or trainer can greatly improve an athlete’s form or body positioning, which can result in improved athletic performances,” Nike said in a patent filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. “For most people, however, a coach or trainer is not always available” and there isn’t an easy way to check positioning on your own, Nike said.

I invented this years ago, Stretchy Golf Panties For Men, electrodes in the inseam, and a big battery in the back, just below the tailbone.
Ran a infomercial on Turfnet.

Has potential. Will wait for version 3.0 and some user reviews.
A tight fitting shirt that makes you aware of restricted movement? Try golfing in a coat like the hickory days! Abe Mitchell had this on lock before our grandparents were born.

I'm doing a "See! I told you so" direct at my wife. I noticed that Tiger had strips on the centerlines of their backs and sholders. I figured it was some system to provide refernce marks for future swing analysis. Very Foley.

Can you imagine an electronic Sean Foley? It would be just like... the real Sean Foley.

Oh great, another potential ruling is on the table when one amateur accuses another of wearing "illegal clothing" in a weekly medal. Golf professionals will be required to inspect clothing it appears.
