Greg Norman Has Contracted Millennial Obsession Syndrome!

It's quietly sweeping the nation. Infiltrating the human brain through the eyes or pocketbook. Doctors say there is currently no cure. But on the eve of Fox Sports moving into golf telecasting, it is with great sadness that I report lead analyst Greg Norman has Millennial Obsession Syndrome.

While I wrote for The Loop what to expect from the first Fox broadcast (including news of new on-course reporter hires Scott McCarron and E.A. Tischler), Greg Hardwig talked to the Great White Shark about this week's debut and buried the big reveal.

“One of the most important discussions that we have internally in concert with the USGA, is how do we reach out to the millennial?” Norman said. “ ... I want to see the youth get back into the game.

“How do we do it? If we do it right, the game of golf will be the big benefactor.”

When I think millennials, I think USGA!

That said, I spoke to Fox's Mark Loomis, referred to by Norman in the Hardwig story by the Shark as "their technical guy," and Loomis confirms there will be no Fox robots. And we all know millennials won't be able to relate without the robots.
