Chris Christie's On His Back Nine, So He Says

Michael Barbaro reports New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's golf analogy during a Wednesday town hall and, well, it's apparent he hasn't played many emergency nines in his life.

And that's not a waistline joke.

“I can’t run for governor again,” Mr. Christie, a Republican, told attendees at a town-hall-style meeting in this Morris County community. “I can tell you something: That’s really good news for you.”

“Here’s why: I’m not worried about politics anymore,” he added. “This is it. I am on the back nine. When you are on the back nine and you don’t have to worry about playing another front nine, your only obligation is to tell people the truth.”
