Forward Press: Houston, We Have No Problems

For years the golf world has hung on every word, move and decision by Tiger Woods. He apparently has another looming--to play or not to play in the Masters--but as I point out in the Forward Press this week, all sorts of great tournaments and golf talk is more worthy of our time.

We care more about a new generation and as far as I can tell, an announcement confirming Tiger's Masters status (unlikely to play) will cause just a radar blip. Even if he plays, it won't be like the intrigue over last year's appearance.

Why? Expectations are certainly low for him, but most there is too much great golf with Lydia and Inbee showing up at the first major in ET prime time. Then there is Houston offering a strong field and pre-Masters showcase. And for content lovers, too many other golf stars worth hearing from (Jason Day, Adam Levine).
