Hank Fires Back At Johnny: “The facts are what they are."**

Randall Mell on Hank Haney responding to Johnny Miller's suggestion that Tiger needs a new swing coach:

Informed of Miller’s opinion in an e-mail from GolfChannel.com, Haney responded:

“The facts are what they are,” Haney wrote. “I didn’t start in 2001. I started in 2004. In the last 2½ years, Tiger has won 44% of his tournaments and finished Top 3 in 61%. In the 2½ years before I started working with him, he won 24% and finished Top 3 in 43%.”

Jeff Rude also checked in with Haney about his status as Woods' instructor.

So, you’re still together? Haney was asked Wednesday.

“As far as I know,” Haney said. “I don’t know anything else. I did get a paycheck for the next quarter. You don’t pay someone for the next quarter and then fire them the next day, do you?”

For a different perspective on the state of Tiger's game, Cameron Morfit spoke to a sympathetic Lee Trevino, who relates to Tiger's situation at home and its possible impact on his game.

"I knew eventually this (scandal) was going to weigh on him and get into his game," Lee Trevino said by phone from his home in Dallas this week. "I know this because I'm an expert on this."
