The Next Slow Play Side Effect?

Tiger talked Tuesday about quitting after 14 because the pace was too slow (and he joked that he couldn't wait to come see the hired weepers and assorted other inkslingers).

And now Jim McCabe reports that Geoff Ogilvy passed on the first two days of practice in favor of playing Pebble last weekend and a few holes Wednesday due to the pace of play.

So is this the next trend in majors? You can't blame the players, but administrators might want to take this seriously. It not only takes away from the practice round paying fans when star players are not around, but this also impacts the prior week's field.
