Golf Channel Execs: Tiger To Tee Up At Australian Open

American television coverage of this event in recent years has been sporadic and even before Tiger committed to the Open, a great field was lined up to play over Mike Clayton's rejuvenated The Lakes. So let's make sure this one is beemed back to America!

Woods and Golf Australia boss Stephen Pitt on Monday announced that the former world No.1 would join a star-studded field for the November 10-13 tournament at The Lakes.

The event already features fellow Americans Dustin Johnson and Bubba Watson, defending champion Geoff Ogilvy, two-time major runner-up Jason Day and Presidents Cup captains Greg Norman and Fred Couples.

Apparently Tiger took Greg Norman's groveling about the course last year as the ultimate endorsement that it would be worth playing.
