While Augusta's rights fee from CBS aren't public — you might as well ask for the club's membership roster — it has to be leaving money on the table in allowing CBS to show far fewer commercials than typical TV sports.

Which leads, perhaps not coincidentally, to the consistently highest-rated golf on TV. (And, perhaps not coincidentally, the oldest viewers for big-time TV sports. The average age of last year's Masters viewers was 56.4, compared to 42.5 for the Super Bowl and 40.6 for the NBA Finals.)
