Full Points It Is! Tour Caves To Fall Sponsor Demands

PGATour.com reports exclusively that the PGA Tour caved to complaints from fall event sponsors (first reported here exclusively) who were not appreciating half-FedExCup points in the dreadful schedule and Q-School revamping. Davis Love, a Policy Board voter, is the host of a Fall Finish event as well.

Meanwhile, no decision has been made about how to handle the impending boondoggle that is the PGA Tour Bottom Feeder/Nationwide Tour Money Leader "playoff" that was supposed to lure a new title sponsor for the tour after Nationwide steps down following 2012.

With respect to the system to determine the 50 PGA TOUR membership cards through the Nationwide Tour beginning next year, the Policy Board reviewed three options and decided to seek further input and feedback from the PGA TOUR and Nationwide Tour Player Advisory Councils before making a final decision. An announcement will be made at a later date.
