When one comes to the quality of the bunkers and other hazards we pass into realm of much dispute and argument. Primarily bunkers should be sand bunkers purely, not composed of gravel, stones or dirt. Reno-Tahoe Combatants Excited About Olympic Golf; Have No Idea How It Will Work

Granted, most of the people playing the Reno-Tahoe Open this week have little chance of making the 2016 Games in Rio, but it still must be somewhat alarming to the IGF that a pair of former Open Champions--Todd Hamilton and John Daly--have no idea how players will qualify or what the format will be.

Jim Krajewski reports.

Daly, 46, called golf a perfect Olympic sport. But he said that he might be too old to participate in four years.

“I’m just wondering if they’re going to do like a World Cup where there’s two guys, four guys, six guys. I just wonder what the format’s going to be. Maybe I could be a coach,” he said, laughing.
