OSU Scarlet Course To Host The Other Reset Cup

Bob Baptist reports that July's Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational will now be played as part of the new Web.com/PGA Tour 125-And-Beyonders Playoff series replacing Q-School. The Ohio State course is an Alister MacKenzie/Perry Maxwell creation.

Golf World magazine reported last month that the final tournament will be played Sept. 2 6-29 and could be held at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., where the tour has its headquarters.

If that is the case, the other two qualifying events would be Sept. 12-15 and Sept. 19-22. That means two significant professional golf events will be staged in central Ohio within a month, with the Presidents Cup matches at Muirfield Village Golf Club scheduled for Oct. 3-6.

I just realized, one year from now we'll be embroiled in algorithm madness to determine who makes the PGA Tour! Goosebumps...

Since Ohio State plays at Cal on September 14th, 2013, one has to assume the Nationwide Children's Hospital will take the September 12-15 spot since no one in their right mind would book a tournament when the Scarlet play a home game. Right?

However, this should make it a nice Saturday opportunity at the Scarlet Course for friends and family to get an up-close look at their respective players!
